Sam Sparro - Sparro Cancels Gigs After Visa Trouble

Australian singer SAM SPARRO has cancelled his U.S. tour later on experiencing problems with his visa.

The Black and Gold hitmaker failed to appear at Santo's Party House in New York on 5 August, and at a gig in Los Angeles on 6 August (08).

He had rescheduled the dates for September (08), but it is unknown if his visa publication will be resolved in time for the concerts.

Meanwhile, Sparro has also cancelled his scheduled appearance at the U.K.'s V Festival this weekend (16-17Aug08).

Oasis sign new unique deal

INDIE rockers OASIS are to release three albums in a groundbreaking new deal.

The GALLAGHER brothers will bring out new records on their own label,
but in conjunction with SonyBMG.

They will release their LPs through the music giant in partnership with their
own label Big Brother Recordings - meaning the two record firms will share
profits from the album sales.

This move will give the band more freedom and artistic control compared to
other artists who are signed to just one music company.

Another bonus sees the Don't Look Back In Anger stars maintaining rights over
their back catalogue of albums.

A representative said: "This allows the band to take advantage of all the
opportunities presented by the new business models available today as well
as remaining totally in control of their own destiny."

The first of the three studio albums is expected to be released in September,
their first since 2005's Don't Believe The Truth.
Not bad for a couple of brothers from Manchester.

Amy Winehouse wins Ivor Novello Award

Amy WinehouseSoul star Amy Winehouse won a songwriting honor at the 2008 Ivor Novello Awards on Thursday.


The British singer took the award for her track Love Is A Losing Game, but lost out in the Best-Selling Song category to Beyonce Knowles and Shakira’s Beautiful Liar.


Winehouse was at the London ceremony, but the prize was collected by her father Mitch.


He said, “Unfortunately Amy couldn’t make it (up on stage), but she is getting better and sends you all her love.

Jo O'Meara reveals she is pregnant

Former S Club 7 and 'Celebrity Big Brother' star Jo O'Meara has announced that she is pregnant.
The pop singer, who was accused of bullying while in the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house last year, told The Sun that her first baby is due in April.
O'Meara said: "It wasn't planned, but it was a very nice surprise."
She continued: "I'm nervous at the thought of a little person calling me mum, but it's a very happy way to begin 2008."
She added: "This feels like a fresh start to me - new year, new baby, new purpose. I'm grateful for that."
